Seeing I havn’t been able to use my hand much I have decided to try to keep the creative juices flowing and resort to photograghy with my fantastic pieces from Exmouth. Some things just photogragh really well and are easy to set up. I have decided to put together a small range of ocean related photos, with matching frames and added real items, such as twigs of driftwood or shell or sand maybe. Anyway here is a small sample of what I have in mind.

Ceramic work is still at a standstill as I recover from my broken wrist.  Its been four weeks now and slowly i’m coming good and I think I can do a certain amount, but no wedging!!!  It will be good to get back into some work I have really missed it  and have been inspired by a recent trip to Bali for a short break to rest and recover, such a beautiful climate and really nice people.  I didnt get up to the hills unfortunately, which is where the Gaya Ceramic Centre is located, but I didnt have long and have vowed to include the area of Ubud for another trip maybe a workshop!!!  I have been to Bali many times as its only 31/2 hours from Perth in Western Australia, so an easy trip to do and its usually much cheaper than flying within Australia unfortunately.  But its always relaxing and fun to immerse yourself in the food and culture.

IMG_1910There is a reason I have not been blogging lately, and that is because I have broken my wrist!!! I am actually typing with one hand. So unfortunately I cannot even go into my workshop to pass the time. Things have come to a complete standstill. I am now disabled for some time and I havnt any plaster on as they inserted a plate into my wrist. “ouch” I am exercising it and slowly getting some use back but it is very swollen and uncomfortable. But I have had some lovely photos that I wanted to share so I have uploaded them to my blog letting people know I am not in a lunatic asylum yet!!!!

On a brighter note, my brother, sister in law and gorgeous nieces recently had their annual holiday in Exmouth which is situated in the North of Western Australia.  I was lucky enough to be brought home containers of washed up treasure from their rambles.  Lucky Lucky me !!!!   It was like Christmas time on my patio and here is a very small showing of what I have received.  I cant wait for my arm to be more mobile so I can start creating using these beautiful pieces with my porcelain.
