8th December…..

Another day in the workshop, yeehah!!! I’ve finished the little bitty boats and glazed them and I’ve finished the sails and glazed them as well and I’ve put the kiln on again and filled it with as much as I can. The only trouble is I’ve ran out of kiln props for all the fiddler glazed bits, I must remember to go on line and buy some more as this happens every time I never have enough to go around.
What do you think of this pair of lovelies? They are currently living in my back garden on a bench but I need to find them a new home amongst the foliage maybe.

Today I finished three of the pieces needed for a delivery. I still have two to go, I am quite happy with these as I was using up the last of some terracotta I had. Having looked at them closely I will do a couple of small adjustments, but overall ok. I am starting a frame for the next exhibition in which I am making a bucket size frame that I will attach found objects, within this will be a porcelain vessel representing the reef and ocean floor, the outside frame will represent man and his influence on our enviroment. Sounds good in theory heh !!!

Isn’t this little fellow cute?   He is Terracotta, mounted on driftwood with a glazed hat.  I’ve attached a small tile to the edge just for some extra focus.  I will probably do a range of figures in different poses.   I don’t think I will use Terracotta for all of them though I might do some in Porcelain as well.  These figures usually sell well for Christmas, and I will do a range for Bunbury and Busselton.  Get to work girl !!!!!!
